Aldi Announces Nine New London Stores as Part of Major UK Expansion

- Nine new Aldi stores to open in London in 2025
- Part of a £650 million investment to expand in the UK
- Wimbledon, Fulham Broadway, Caterham, and Orpington among locations
- Aim to create 3,500 jobs with 100 new London stores planned
In an ambitious move to increase its presence in the capital, Aldi has unveiled plans to open nine new stores in London throughout 2025. This expansion is a significant part of the supermarket's £650 million investment across Britain.
The new branches, including those in areas like Wimbledon and Fulham Broadway, will bring even more affordable shopping options to Londoners. Additionally, some existing stores in the region will receive significant upgrades, including an extension to the Colindale location. Aldi's broader strategy involves adding 100 stores in London, which could create around 3,500 jobs.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, stated: “We strongly believe that everyone in Britain should have access to high quality food at our unbeatable Aldi prices. But we know that there are still thousands of shoppers in the capital that don’t yet have access to an Aldi nearby."
Aldi's efforts to provide value have not gone unnoticed, having been named the UK’s cheapest supermarket by Which? for the fourth consecutive year.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, remarked, "Aldi’s expansion in London is a testament to their commitment to affordability and accessibility. It's great to see them broadening their reach in the capital."
