Aldi Invites Shoppers to Suggest New Store Spots

- Aldi UK asks the public for location ideas for new stores
- Aims to expand presence with more than 1,500 stores eventually
- New branches planned in South East England
Aldi, the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket chain, is seeking public input to determine future store locations. Shoppers are encouraged to suggest where new Aldi branches should pop up, as the retailer aims for an expanded network of over 1,500 stores. Upcoming openings include Ashford, Eastbourne, and Caterham.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, highlights the importance of community input, stating, “We’re always looking at key places where we see potential, but we also want to hear directly from the public about where the demand is greatest.”
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, “This is a great opportunity for communities to have a say in where they need affordable shopping options. It’s a smart move by Aldi to involve their customer base in expansion plans.”
