Aldi's Snow Plough Crusade: Supplies for Stranded Pub-Goers

- Aldi uses a snow plough to deliver essentials to snow-trapped pub
- The Tan Hill Inn guests had run out of Malbec wine and sausages
- Supplies included de-icer, boardgames, and dog treats
- Ten guests and six staff remain at the pub
Stranded guests at the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales received a heartwarming surprise when Aldi delivered much-needed supplies via snow plough.
The pub visitors, trapped by snow since Saturday, had run out of Malbec wine and sausages. Aldi, on hearing of their plight, engaged a local farmer to deliver the goods, including de-icer, games, and even dog treats. "When we saw the guests had run out of key supplies and faced further days trapped by the snow, our store team at Catterick sprang into action," an Aldi spokesperson said.
Pub manager Nicole Hayes expressed gratitude, stating the delivery would lift spirits, while guest Angus Leslie was eager to prolong their unexpected stay.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said, "What a fantastic gesture by Aldi to help those snowed in at the Tan Hill Inn. It’s great to see community spirit alive and well, especially during challenging times."
