October half term will soon be upon us, with the majority of schools breaking up on Friday 22 October and returning to class on Monday 1 November. Now that normal activities are becoming more readily available after years of COVID uncertainty, there will be plenty of families looking for trips and activities to entertain their kids.

Fortunately, keeping everyone happy doesn’t have to break the bank. Emma Farrell, 44, from Wrexham, North Wales, told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: ‘I have been booking plenty of activities in advance to ensure there’s at least one to take the kids on each day. I’ve been able to save over £100 by planning my schedule at least a week beforehand. I’ve been able to keep it varied with days out playing crazy golf and plans to visit restaurants on the cheap!’

Emma shared the money-saving October half term activities she found to keep the kids happy.
