Several supermarkets have recently unveiled new ranges for the summer, but which are the best products to try and what’s trending?

There’s a whole host of fresh new desserts in for the summer at Morrisons, and one of them was this creamy black forest gateau, new in at £4. It’s so popular that it was the only one left on the shelf - and it had been abandoned in the wrong section until I found it, so I thought I’d missed out! Ideal for entertaining guests during garden parties or treating the family on a warm evening, this dessert is bound to go down well.
Lidl Penne Arrabbiata Pasta, NEW IN At £1.69
If you’re looking for some evening meal inspiration but you’re not in the mood for cooking during the sunny weather, Lidl is offering a new Penne Arrabbiata pasta for £1.69. It’s easy to prepare, as all you have to do is poke some holes in it with a fork and stick it in the microwave. It’s got a spicy kick to it, and it’s a great quick meal for those who don’t want any hassle.
Morrisons Chocolate Swiss roll, NEW IN At £2
Another top pick in the new Morrisons fresh desserts section is this delectable chocolate swiss roll for just £2. That’s a good price considering you could feed a family of four by dividing it up and pairing it with some ice cream. That’s just 50p per serving! In fact, the nutritional information on the box is given per ⅙ of cake, so it would likely stretch even further.

A classic dessert for many of us, you can take a trip down memory lane this summer for just £1.99 with this delicious sticky toffee pudding from Lidl.
