Green-fingered Brits are racing to Lidl this week as the supermarket drops a fresh range of garden plants starting from a wallet-pleasing £1.99.
Whether you’re after a window box wow or patio perfection, the budget grocer is rolling out a vibrant array of blooms both indoors and out – with prices slashed compared to big-name rivals.
The range includes assorted flowering plants, perfect for brightening beds and baskets, with prices starting under two quid. There’s more to come on Friday, 7 June, including large perennials for £4.99 and tropical-style Hibiscus for £6.99 – ideal for creating height and drama in any display.
Green-thumbed bargain hunters are already flocking to stores, with shoppers on social media calling the new collection a “game changer” for their summer garden makeover.
Maleeha Katib reported in The Sun that similar perennials cost up to £10 at Dobies, while Hibiscus plants at Waitrose and B&Q can cost £12.99 and £11.99 respectively – making Lidl’s version nearly half the price.
Also hitting shelves are stylish houseplants with ceramic pots, including a £14.99 design to give your lounge a refresh on a shoestring.
From purple to pink, yellow to white, Lidl’s floral fiesta is offering the full spectrum of colour – and with prices like these, savvy shoppers are snapping them up fast.
But you’ll have to be quick. As always with Lidl’s middle aisle specials, stock is limited and varies by store. Insiders suggest calling ahead to check availability before heading out.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk said, “Lidl’s latest drop is a blooming win for budget-conscious gardeners. With quality plants at half the price of some rivals, it’s never been easier to grow a gorgeous garden without digging deep.”
