McDonald’s Fans Fume as Popular Menu Item Quietly Removed

- Chicken Caesar Wrap fans gutted as McDonald’s rotates out top menu item
- Furious customers take to social media to vent – “I’ll die on this hill!”
- The wrap included crispy chicken, bacon, lettuce, onions and Caesar sauce
- McDonald’s quietly hikes prices on other favourites – some up by 15%
The golden arches have sparked a full-on foodie frenzy after quietly axing one of its most-loved lunchtime heroes – the Chicken Bacon Caesar Wrap – and fans are not "lovin’ it".
The wrap, a savoury combo of crispy chicken breast, rashers of bacon, lettuce and a drizzle of creamy Caesar dressing, was quietly shelved this month as part of McDonald’s “regular wrap rotation”. The fast food giant says it's all in a bid to keep menus “fresh and exciting”. But customers are calling it anything but.
Fast food fans took to Reddit to express their rage. One furious wrap lover posted: “Please don’t tell me it’s discontinued. It’s the best one of them all!” Another fumed: “What the hell?! Why was this not publicised anywhere?”
A third declared, “It was the only good one in this current line-up, I’ll gladly die on this hill.”
This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has culled cult classics. Breakfast Bagels, the Chicken Legend, even iconic McDonald’s Sundaes have all vanished over the years, often without a word.
The wrap saga comes hot on the heels of another McDonald's controversy: price hikes. Four big-name items have quietly crept up, with the Steakhouse Stack now £5.99, up from £5.49. The Biscoff McFlurry is up by 30p, and the Frappe isn’t far behind.
One annoyed customer said, “Why has McDonald’s gotten so expensive?!!! More than £5 for a Big Mac is just wild.”
Whether it’s price pain or menu heartbreak, many shoppers are now turning to hacks, apps and discount codes to claw back control of their cravings.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, “McDonald’s menu rotations might keep things ‘fresh’, but it’s frustrating when favourites just vanish. With rising prices, now’s the time to use all the tricks in the book to save – from reward apps to discount codes and loyalty points.
