Greggs Launches 2 Hot New Items—But There's A Catch

- Greggs fans rejoice as two pulled pork sandwiches launch TODAY
- But there’s a twist: you’ll only find them in select stores across the North East
- Priced at £4, they’re part of a trial – and could roll out nationwide
- Double reward stamps now live on sandwiches too – but only at lunchtime
- Tom Church says, “Greggs lovers know the app deals and limited drops are where the real value lies”
Greggs has just dished up two sizzling new sandwich options – but blink and you’ll miss them.
From today, the popular high street bakery has added Pulled Pork and BBQ Pulled Pork with Slaw sandwiches to its menu at 20 trial locations across the UK.
Costing £4 each, both come served hot in a corn-topped roll and are stuffed with juicy pork and crunchy extras. The BBQ version comes in slightly lighter at 430 calories, while the apple sauce and crispy onion combo clocks in at 469.
The new items are available at the counter and via delivery through Just Eat, Uber Eats, or Click + Collect on the Greggs app – but only if you’re near one of the trial shops in the North East, including Sunderland, Durham, and Gateshead.
Greggs insiders hint that if the pork-filled creations prove popular, we could see them rolled out nationwide.
But that’s not all. The bakery chain has shaken up its loyalty scheme, launching a month-long promotion giving double reward stamps between 11am and 2pm every day.
This week, all sandwiches – including wraps, baguettes and burgers – count toward the deal. Next week, it shifts to hot snacks, then bakes (excluding sausage rolls), and finally iced drinks. Every nine stamps earns you a freebie, meaning you can unlock rewards faster.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, “This is classic Greggs – trial it in the North East, see if it takes off, then roll it out. For savvy shoppers, the double stamp promo is also a winner. It’s a little-known trick that can save regulars a few pounds every month.”
