- Sam gives his bargain purchases to people in need
Shopping for toiletries can be an expensive task, but one shopper has nailed the secret of how to pick up Superdrug necessities for mere pennies.
Posting in the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Group on Facebook, Sam Epps shared a photo of his Superdrug haul, which included everything from nail gems to mini shampoo and conditioner sets.
Sam, 27, a customer experience assistant from Kent, wrote: “Nice little Superdrug haul this time. Spray Bottles - 30p each. False Nails - 30p each. Nail Gems - 60p each. Extract Shampoos - 50p each. Silicone Pads - 30p each. Finally the mini shampoo and conditioner sets, were reduced down to a staggering 1p each!”
Fellow members of the money-saving community were seriously impressed by Sam’s bargains, commenting “Brilliant well done” and “Omg well done”.
Sam regularly goes to the store to check reduced-to-clear sections. Looking high and low, he scours out the best bargains.
He also recommends not being afraid to haggle. Most high-street stores, contrary to belief, do haggle on discounts and getting to know a store manager can really help save a few extra pounds.
Sam told LatestDeals.co.uk: “I normally look for deals on a regular basis when I’m in town in the reductions areas, but you should always check the rest of the shelves, as often you can find hidden bargains. In certain shops I’ve got friendly with the staff, so I’m not afraid to ask questions or say no if it’s a higher price at the till.
“I either give the products to family members or donate them to food banks or to people in need,” Sam added. “With the beauty products, it’s a great way to try new things and not break the bank.”
