Millions of UK Homes to Get Free Energy This Valentine’s Day – Are You Eligible?

- EDF Energy is offering four hours of free electricity to customers on February 14
- The deal runs from 7pm to 11pm but only applies to those with a smart meter
- Households must sign up before the February 13 deadline to take advantage
One of the UK’s biggest energy suppliers, EDF, is giving customers a little Valentine’s Day treat—four hours of free electricity! From 7pm to 11pm on February 14, eligible customers can power up their homes without paying a penny.
The offer is available to EDF customers with a smart meter that sends readings every 30 minutes. If you qualify, the credit will be applied to your account within two weeks of the event. To get involved, you must sign up before 11:59pm on February 13.
EDF regularly runs Sunday Saver challenges, rewarding customers who shift their energy use away from peak times. Small changes—like running dishwashers in the morning or batch cooking at the weekend—can help households earn even more free electricity.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, the discount code platform, said, “With energy prices still a major concern for many households, offers like this are a great way to save money. If you’re with EDF and have a smart meter, this freebie is definitely worth grabbing.”

Unfortunately we’re not with EDF. If they were our suppliers I would save the washing doing several loads and use the tumble drye.
