Mum creates incredible Dalmatian-themed room for just £2

  • Victoria Robinson, 33, created a 101 Dalmatians room for her two daughters
  • The room cost her just £2 to make
  • Victoria used tester paints from Homebase to create the look

If 101 Dalmatians is your favourite movie, then we’ve got the ideal bedroom transformation for you.

Mum-of-two Victoria Robinson, 33, from Hertfordshire, wanted to create a cute shared space for her two girls Jessica and Amber, aged three and six.

Victoria, who works nights in Tesco, told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: “My children love 101 Dalmatians, so I thought I’d do a focus wall on it.

"The inspiration behind this wall is my daughter Jessica as she’s dog mad and loves 101 Dalmatians.

“I thought I’d surprise them both by doing this. All I needed was my kids' paintbrush and two pots of £1 black paint tester paints from Homebase. "I just drew different shapes of circles to create this focus wall and I’m quite proud of the result!”

Victoria already had white paint at home which she used to cover the walls with a blank canvas, then started on the spots the day after.

“It took me around two hours in total,” she adds. "I love doing things like this so I have a lot of patience.

“I was quite dubious when the first lot of spots went on but I’m glad I finished as my girls love it. I’m very pleased with the outcome - it’s not every day you walk into a room and have Dalmatian spots everywhere!”

Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, comments: “Most of us would think that giving a bedroom a really standout and cool theme for just £2 would be impossible, but Victoria proves how wrong that is.

“For just £2, she’s managed to pay tribute to a classic movie - and given her daughters an amazing bedroom in the process!"

Great idea, well done, for £2 is that all, what a saver, you will be going into business soon, making amazing rooms as cheaply as possible.

She painted a wall with some black spots. It looks good. That's not quite a business though and believe it or not, people in this job have to charge for their time so it wouldn't be quite as cheap as £2 for the customers - especially to hand paint a wall that size with a custom design. It would cost more than just solid colour!
