Mum Of Six Creates Amazing Hallway Tribute To Her Kids For Under £80

If you’ve got a hallway in need of jazzing up, and you don’t want to spend a fortune, get inspired by this creative mum.
Janine Cars, 35, a mum of six from Newton Abbot, Devon, was racking her brains for new ways of adding excitement to her hallway.
Janine, whose children are aged 10 months, four, eight, 10, 13 and 15, was determined to find a way of bringing pizzazz to her stairway without spending a fortune.
She decided to print out self-adhesive wall vinyl and buy some clocks and frames from Asda to create a tribute to her children in the hall.
Janine managed to create an amazing feature wall with each of her children’s time and date of birth, as well as their names, birth weights and photographs - and all for under £80.
Janine, who works in security, told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: "I recently started to decorate the hall and stairs and really wanted something different to take centre focus on the wall.
"There were a few similar things I saw on the Internet, but nothing with the wow factor.
"I sent some screenshots to my friend Amanda, who has a small business called Wavey Soul. She specialises in macrame, however she does decals also.
"I explained my vision to her, and sent her the pictures that I wanted in the frames, as well as measurements of them and the clocks with the time they were born.
"The writing is self-adhesive wall vinyl. Wavey Soul then creates the wording so it's easy to pop on the wall without getting everything stuck.
"You simply pop the words on the wall, rub the decal to secure and peel back the transfer paper it's on.
"I found the clocks and frames in my local Asda. I used a spirit level and tools to put these up on the wall.
“It cost me £36 for the writing and the clocks were £6 each from Asda.
“The frames were £1.50 for two from Asda, and I bought six so they cost £4.50 in total.
“I printed the photos out online and they cost 50p each to print out.”
Janine is over the moon with how her hallway turned out - and luckily, so is her family.
“My partner Pete and the kids thought I was crazy at first but now they all love it,” she adds.
“I'm so happy with it - I really love that I can see my babies' first pictures every day and be reminded of how small they used to be.
“It cost me £79.50 in total, which proves you don’t need to spend lots of money to transform your home.
“I've had some lovely feedback about my stair art and I'm really in love with it!”
