Pink Chocolate KitKats Are Coming to the UK
- Made with ruby cocoa
- Available from Monday 16th April
- First time ruby chocolate has been for sale in the UK
Chocolate lovers in the UK are in for a treat- they’ll soon be able to get ruby chocolate KitKat bars.
The chocolate will come in the classic four-finger KitKat bars, so you’ll be able to see if the new version is better than milk or white chocolate variations.
KitKat is the first brand in the UK to manufacture chocolate bars using the unique ruby beans, which give the chocolate a berry flavour and is slightly sweeter than the original milk chocolate version.
While some might not like the new flavour, it’s perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.
The new bars were invented in September and had a run in South Korea and Japan, but the UK will be the first country in Europe to get to try them.
Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestle’s UK confectionery business, said, “After the extremely successful launch of KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Ruby in Japan and South Korea, this is the first time Ruby chocolate will be available in an iconic four finger format, and we are sure that the Ruby chocolate KitKat will be a great hit in the UK.”
The bar is naturally pink and is produced without any additives or artificial flavourings.
Would you try one of these? Let us know in the comments.
I will definitely trying be trying one of these as soon as I can get my hands on one. I love kit-kats and all things pink. What a fab combination
Would give it a go. Have had different varieties of kit Kat over the years, such as the green matcha one from Japan. Nothing special but worth to say I’ve tried it out
I love dark chocolate Kit Kat best but will definitely give these a try as I also like berry flavours.
