School Uniforms From £1.50 As Supermarkets Cut Prices

- Aldi’s bargain school bundle returns at just £5 from June 29
- Tesco and Sainsbury’s start their sales from June 15 – prices TBC
- Asda, Morrisons, Matalan, and more offering year-round low-cost uniforms

It’s time to get the iron out and sharpen those pencils – school uniform season has officially begun.
Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury’s are kicking off their back to school uniform sales, with parents able to kit out kids for as little as £1.50. And if you’re super savvy, Aldi’s full school bundle is returning from June 29 for just £5 – a steal that includes two polos, a sweatshirt or cardigan, plus trousers, shorts, or a skirt.
Sam Walker reported in The Sun that Sainsbury’s and Tesco will launch their sales from June 15, although Tesco’s full pricing and Clubcard offers are still under wraps. Last year, both supermarkets slashed prices by 25% – and shoppers are hoping for more of the same.
Meanwhile, Asda’s George range continues to offer more than 500 schoolwear items all year round. From polo shirts at £3 to lunchboxes and backpacks from £16, there’s something for every budget. Morrisons and Matalan also sell school uniform throughout the year, with prices starting from under £5.
Retailers like John Lewis, Next, Primark and Marks & Spencer are joining the fray too – some offering online-only deals, free shoe fittings, and frozen prices since 2023.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, “Buying school uniform doesn’t have to break the bank. If you plan ahead, compare prices, and grab bundles early, you can save a fortune. Leave it too late and you’ll not only pay more, but sizes will start to run out too.”
