Shopper Frenzy Erupts As Air Fryer Scans for Just £23 – But There’s a Catch

Image
  • Major UK supermarket slashes 6-litre air fryer price from £43 to £23
  • Product part of celebrity chef kitchenware line
  • Comes amid supermarket’s sweeping price shake-up
  • Bargain hunters rushing to stores with stock ‘flying off shelves’

BARGAIN-HUNGRY Brits are flooding their local Asda stores after the retailer secretly slashed the price of a massive 6-litre air fryer to just £23.53 — leaving shocked shoppers snapping them up quicker than you can say “chicken nuggets”.

The grey air fryer, part of Gino D’Acampo’s kitchenware range, was originally priced at £43. But in what appears to be a quiet rollback, it’s now scanning at tills for just over half that. The sleek appliance boasts a generous capacity, variable temperatures, and a 60-minute timer – ideal for batch-cooking hungry families through the week.

Fans of the TV chef will recognise the minimalist design, with happy customers calling it “value for money” and “bigger than expected”.

Owen Scott reported in The Sun that the offer was discovered during a broader price shake-up from Asda, which previously announced it would be slashing thousands of product prices across the store. In March, it unveiled cuts of up to 45% on over 10,000 products. In January, it pledged price drops averaging 25%, with some as much as 50%.

Shoppers have been sharing the deal across social media, warning others to act fast as stock dwindles. It's not the first time a major air fryer bargain has gone viral, but at this price point, it may be the best yet.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, "Air fryers have become the must-have kitchen gadget for frugal families. A 6-litre model from a celebrity chef for under £24 is unheard of. But it pays to act quick — these deals vanish faster than a hot chip."

Apparently, this TV chef has been 'cancelled' recently due to a number of allegations of inappropriate/intimidating behaviour. Wouldn't surprise me if ASDA are trying to cut ties and getting rid of his stock by lowering prices!

I wonder if there is anyone that collects products endorsed by known sexual predators like this. It's distasteful now but maybe they will become highly valued later on. Personally I wouldn't care if I had Gary Glitter saucepan set or Jimmy Saville Halogen Oven as long as they were good quality and cheap.

Looks a nice bit of kit especially at the quoted price. However saying that I would not purchase anything with his name on it.
