Shoppers Find Stunning £8.99 Whispering Angel Dupe - You Won't Guess Where

There’s a new Angel in town – and she’s a lot more affordable than her posh cousin.

Shoppers have gone wild for a new pink fizz spotted in Home Bargains stores that's being hailed as a dupe for the cult favourite Whispering Angel Rosé – and it’s a snip at just £8.99 for a magnum-sized bottle.

That’s a saving of £33 compared to the iconic Château d’Esclans original, which retails for up to £44.50.

The lookalike, dubbed The Angel Sparkling Rosé, has been turning heads with its striking bottle and sweet, refreshing taste. Customers were quick to share the find on social media, with one shopper saying: “Very nice. 8% so not too strong. A nice sparkling rosé.”

Others admitted they’d buy it “just for the pretty bottle”.

But not everyone’s convinced. One eagle-eyed fan pointed out that Whispering Angel isn’t even sparkling – so it’s not quite a like-for-like match. Still, for under a tenner, many say it’s close enough.

If sparkling isn’t your thing, other retailers are stepping in with their own Whispering Angel alternatives.

Aldi has a 75cl Provence-style bottle for £12.49 called Chassaux et Fils Sainte Victoire. Lidl's Exquise Grenache Rosé, praised by wine influencers, comes in at £7.49, while M&S is offering La Balconne Organic Provence Rosé, a floral, herbaceous hit that’s already won over TV wine expert Andy Clarke.
