Shoppers Shocked as £29 Apple 'Dupe' Scans at Just £2.50 at B&M

Image
  • B&M selling smartwatch and earbuds set for just £2.50 – a massive 91% off
  • Originally £29, it's being hailed as a budget-friendly Apple dupe
  • Deal spotted using the B&M Scanner App – always scan to see secret prices
  • One shopper's tip has caused a social media frenzy, with people begging friends to grab them one

Bargain hunters have gone into overdrive after a shopper uncovered a secret B&M deal slashing a £29 Apple-style smartwatch and earbuds set to just £2.50.

The tech bundle, which includes a pink Tikkers smart watch and matching earbuds, was found in-store and scanned at the till for 91% off. Eagle-eyed shoppers shared the find on social media, and within hours, the deal had gone viral.

Posts calling it a “perfect Apple dupe” drew in hundreds of comments, with one shopper writing, “Omg anyone get me some plz (they're) never in ours”, while another added, “If you see any, let me know.”

The deal isn’t advertised – so you’ll need to use B&M’s own Scanner App to see the reduced price. This free app, available on iOS and Android, lets you scan barcodes to find the real price of an item – and it's often far less than the tag says. I've personally used it to find homeware for as little as 10p.

This isn’t the first time B&M shoppers have unearthed incredible markdowns. In recent months, we’ve seen Dyson and Ninja dupes go viral for being hundreds of pounds cheaper than the real thing.

And for those in the know, ex-staff recommend shopping at 10am on Wednesdays – that’s when yellow-sticker bargains are most likely to appear as shelves are cleared for new stock.

It just goes to show that whether it's tech, homeware or toys, you should always scan before you buy. A deal that doesn’t look like much at first glance could be one of the year’s best steals.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, "This is a perfect example of why I always say never trust the price tag. Scan it, compare it and you might find a hidden gem. B&M is one of those retailers where the real bargains are uncovered by the savviest shoppers.”

You do see some wireless headphones on Aliexpress for maybe 3 pounds approx delivered with glowing reviews. I don't use wireless only wired (old school) and bought some wired headphones from aliexpress for just over a pound and they give fantastic sound and with a non-tangle cord and bass drivers incorporated in the design. I've had big brand headphones that sound much worse to be honest that maybe cost 15 pounds or more. It wouldn't surprise me for the quantity they are buying B&M only pay perhaps 1.50 and these are basically being sold at cost to clear when you take into account VAT etc. I've seen on Alibaba where if you buy 500 or more of something the price drops considerably.

In fact many products we buy are from Chinese trade houses. They buy big quantities of items from manufacturers only to resell themselves and often can be cheaper than the manufacturer's low volume prices. Chinese trade houses are a bit like importers except they operate within China and export themselves.
