Sky, Virgin, BT & Plusnet Users Urged to Act Fast As Price Hikes Coming Soon!

  • Millions could be overpaying for broadband without realising
  • Price-freeze deals available now – but not for long
  • Switching now could lock in lower prices before April increases

Broadband customers across the UK are being warned that major price hikes are on the way – and if you’re out of contract, you could be paying far more than necessary.

Steven Smith reported in The Mirror that providers like Sky, Virgin Media, BT, TalkTalk, Plusnet, and Vodafone are currently offering limited-time price-freeze deals to attract new customers. These deals are, on average, 6% higher than Black Friday offers, but 10% cheaper than this time last year.

Experts at Broadband Genie stress that delaying a switch could mean paying significantly more when April’s price hikes kick in. Peter Ames, a broadband expert at the company, advised:

"The best time to switch broadband is always as soon as you're out of contract. If you switch now, most providers won’t raise prices until next April. Every week you wait increases the cost of your contract."

If you're out of contract, now is the time to check for deals and secure a better broadband price before it’s too late.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said, "Broadband deals change all the time, and out-of-contract customers are often paying way more than they need to. Comparing prices and switching now could save you hundreds of pounds over the next year!"
