Topshop Set To Make A Come Back On The Highstreet

- Topshop to relaunch with an exclusive website, expected in late 2025
- Clothing to be sold in partner retailers across the UK
- After a hiatus, the iconic fashion brand is gearing up for a high street comeback
Topshop is making a dramatic return to the high street after a period of uncertainty. The fashion giant, once a staple of UK retail, has been missing from physical stores since 2021 following its acquisition by ASOS in a £330 million deal. However, the latest update from the brand’s new leadership suggests the iconic label is about to make a bold comeback.
José Antonio Ramos Calamonte, Topshop’s chief, confirmed the first step towards the brand’s revival will be the launch of an independent website, Topshop.com, later this year. The new online platform will exclusively sell Topshop’s range of clothing and is set to launch in the second half of 2025.
"We’re not talking about a standalone store, but we haven’t ruled out anything," Calamonte revealed when asked about the possibility of Topshop returning to the high street. While there’s no word yet on standalone retail stores, the clothing will be available at various partner retailers, including those in major high street locations.
The move follows a pivotal moment in Topshop’s history when Bestseller, the Danish retail group behind brands like Jack & Jones, acquired a 75% stake in both Topshop and Topman. The acquisition marked a shift for the brand, which had struggled to keep up with the digital shift in retail and faced growing concerns over its environmental impact.
Last week, Topshop teased its fans with a post stating: "We’ll see you IRL in August," sending the internet into a frenzy as customers eagerly anticipate the return of the brand in physical stores. It’s clear that Topshop is aiming to make a powerful return, with further details on its high street plans expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said: "It’s exciting to see Topshop return to the high street, especially as the brand embraces a more independent and sustainable future. The launch of the new website is just the beginning, and it will be fascinating to see how they adapt to the changing retail landscape."
