Uber Eats Shoppers Unlock Hidden Trick for Big Supermarket Discounts

Image
  • Waitrose loyalty perks now work through Uber Eats for home delivery
  • MyWaitrose members can unlock app-exclusive offers, like 25% off milk
  • Just link your loyalty card in the Uber Eats app to see the discounts
  • Part of Waitrose’s major loyalty programme shake-up

A little-known update to the Waitrose and Uber Eats partnership has quietly rolled out a major money-saving perk – and it’s already sending ripples through savvy shopper circles.

For the first time, MyWaitrose loyalty card holders can now access exclusive offers and member-only discounts directly through the Uber Eats app. That means you could get essentials like milk and eggs at up to 25% off, delivered to your door in under 30 minutes – if you know the trick.

To unlock the deals, all you need to do is link your MyWaitrose card to your Uber Eats account. Once connected, thousands of discounts appear instantly when shopping at the Waitrose store inside the app.

Waitrose first dipped its toes into Uber Eats back in July 2023, starting with just five London stores. But now, it’s ballooned to more than 250 branches, stocking over 18,000 products available for rapid delivery.

Laura Burbedge, director of Waitrose Online, said, “We now want to provide greater value to customers ordering via Uber Eats.”

It’s a big play by Waitrose to compete in the battle of loyalty cards – and they’re not the only ones. Morrisons recently expanded its More Points programme to work across over 300 brands, while Tesco doubled Clubcard values at PizzaExpress, and Sainsbury’s added a new security feature to protect Nectar points.

The message is clear: loyalty is being rewarded, and home delivery is the new battleground.

To link your card:

Sign up for MyWaitrose if you haven’t already

Tap to add your loyalty number – and your offers will appear

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk the discount code platform said, "Waitrose has long been seen as a premium supermarket, but now you can unlock hidden discounts even when ordering a cheeky last-minute dinner. If you’re already paying for convenience, you might as well get rewarded for it."
