It didn’t hang around for long either. Loads of people clicked it, loads redeemed it, and then that was that.
Part of why it felt so good, honestly, is that Uttings promo codes can be a bit picky. They don’t always apply to some of the bigger optics brands, and they often miss the big sale periods too. So when one lands that works across most of the site, people tend to move fast.

Uttings doesn’t really lean on the usual savings tricks. There’s no loyalty scheme to build up points with, and we don’t tend to see the standard first-order discount either. If you’re searching for a Uttings discount code and not finding much, the better bet is usually the Special Offers section, plus any ex-demo or returns stock, especially on pricier buys like optics, boots and camping kit.
We prefer that, to be honest. It’s straightforward. You’re not messing about with points or waiting for a voucher that may not even work. Uttings already flags plenty of brand exclusions on codes, including names like Swarovski, Zeiss and Vortex, and those exclusions often stretch to Black Friday deals and ex-demo lines too. So even when a voucher is floating around, it may not touch the item you actually want.

The retailer says codes don’t apply to Black Friday deals, pellets, out-of-stock items, pre-orders and special orders, finance orders, ex-demo products, or some thermal imaging lines. Certain brands are blocked too, including Swarovski, Zeiss, Vortex, Eotech, Opticron and Flyfish Europe. We’ve also seen one excluded item stop the whole code from applying, which is frustrating, but at least they’re fairly consistent about it.
Plan delivery
Factor delivery into the numbers because there’s no clear free-delivery threshold. UK next-day delivery is usually £3.99 to £5.99 depending on weight and order value, while bulky items like gun cabinets and high seats start from £9.99. If your Uttings discount code only saves a few quid, delivery can swallow that up pretty quickly.
Order by 2pm
If you need something before the weekend, get the order in before 2pm. Uttings says orders received by then are usually despatched the same working day. Just note that some items come from a remote warehouse and can take two working days, and they may hold everything back so the full order ships together.
Be returns-smart

Returns aren’t free for unwanted items. You pay the return postage yourself. If you’re exchanging something, Uttings will send the replacement out free once the return has been processed. For warranty returns, you pay to send the item back to Uttings, and they cover the cost of sending the repaired or replacement item back to you.
