When it comes to purchasing a new laptop, Apple MacBook Pro is the crème de la crème of laptops. It’s one of the most advanced laptops out there with some seriously amazing features, but as they say, all things good come with a hefty price tag to match. Compared to the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro boasts a more powerful processor, a bigger hard drive and faster speeds. It also comes with a built-in CD/DVD drive.

The MacBook Pro was originally launched in the UK way back in 2006 and has had some major changes since then. There are rumours circling that Apple may release a new MacBook Pro this 2018. Because of this, price for older versions have slowly started to fall. Our money saving experts team and community of bargain hunters have rounded up some of the best MacBook Pro deals, cheap MacBook Pro for sale and cheapest MacBook Pro special offers. Find everything here from brand new to older editions to refurbished MacBook Pro 2017 15inch to MacBook Pro 13 inch.

Where can I buy Cheap MacBook Pro?

Prices of brand new MacBook Pros do not differ that much from retailer to retailer since Apple controls the price points and does not give out discounts willy-nilly so it can be hard to find a really great deal on their products. So make sure to lookout for retailers that combines it with special offers.

Best place to buy MacBook Pro with FREE delivery:

Slightly older versions are popular with consumers. Although they’re a little less powerful, they are cheaper decent options. You can get good deals of previous generation MacBook Pro at the following online retailers:

The most reliable way to save money is to buy refurbished. Just like new products, these refurbished laptops are covered under a full one-year warranty, and the quality is identical to that of new machines. You can get the best refurbished MacBook laptop deals at the following:

Is Buying Refurbished Safe?

Amazon, eBay and Laptops Direct are the most popular online UK retailer for buying refurbished and secondhand MacBook laptops.

eBay offers two buying options: “buy it now” or trough auction. You will not get a manufacturer’s warranty but you will be protected by eBay’s 30-day protection policy. If you want warranty, you can checkout Argos Outlet on eBay which stocks a range of Apple products. Make sure to also check our Argos voucher codes page to get the latest discounts.

Currys refurbished and clearance online store is also a good place to start when hunting for a cheap Apple product, while Apple's online refurbished outlet is one of the most trusted places to buy second-hand, and prices can be as low as £800+.

If the item is purchased on auction or second-hand, there's no limit on the amount you can save, however, if the item is purchased as a 'refurbished' device, in other words, manufacturer checked, you're likely to save around £100. As it's classed as almost new, the savings can be quite small.

Which MacBook Pro Should I Get?

MacBook Pro 15 inch with Touch Bar: Best for power users.

This model gives the fastest performance and biggest high-res of any of the MacBooks. It features a standard quad-core 7th generation Intel processor and AMD Radeon graphics make the 15.6-incher well suited to everything from 4K video editing to massive Lightroom batch exports.

MacBook Pro 13 inch without Touch Bar: Best for all-around use.

One of the least expensive model that most average users should buy. It offers a solid performance with 13inch Retina display, a responsive trackpad, surprisingly potent speakers, and USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports for charging and hooking up peripherals.

MacBook Pro Features and Specs

The popular laptop comes in a wide range of models, with three different screen sizes as well as the option to forgo the Touch bar, available in smaller models, if you want to reduce its price. It’s the touchscreen part of the base of the MacBook Pro that replaces its function keys. Depending on the task at hand, its display will change. It’s also fully customisable and features Touch ID to give your laptop fingerprint security just like with iPhone and iPad.

Beyond the base configurations, you have the option to upgrade the MacBook 13 inch models up to 16GB RAM with 1 TB storage, while the processor speeds will depend on whether you will opt for a Touch Bar model or not. The MacBook Pro 15 inch models go up to 2TB storage, and you also have a choice to upgrade the discrete graphics card and processor.

These options are probably one of the most important aspects of the latest MacBook Pro line, the unambiguous gap between the new Mac Pro 13in and 15in models. Not only do the latter enjoy a larger screen, they also get exclusive quad-core processors and separate Radeon graphics cards.

The MacBook Pro relies on USB-C but with added options such as the non-Touch Bar models with 2 USB-C ports and Touch Bar models with 4. Each model comes with a headphone jack as well. The 15in 2015 MacBook Pro model has not been updated this 2018. It may be cheaper to get this model, but it’s running on older processor. It can go up to a 2.8GHz processor, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB hard drive, and has an older selection of ports: two Thunderbolt 2, two USB 3.0, HDMI, and SDXC card - but no USB-C.
