Sony’s products come in a variety of lines across the globe. They are the third largest manufacturer of TVs in the world. The company produced the first portable music player in the world in 1979, the Walkman. This changed how people listened to music by allowing them to carry music anywhere and listen to them via lightweight headphones. Today, Sony uses the Wlakman brand for their line of portable video and audio players and former lines of Sony Mobile phones.

Sony also offers a wide selection of digital cameras from point-and-shoot to digital single-lens cameras. They first introduced Cyber-shot in 1996 and entered the DSLR market in 2006. They also have a range of camcorders which are manufactured by the company itself.

Sony introduced their Trinitron brand name in 1968 for their TVs, which was discontinued in 2007 marking the end of Sony’s analog TV sets and monitors. The company’s LCD WEGA brand of LCD TVs was used until 2005. They then introduced the BRAVIA brand as their in-house brand which is a line of high-definition LCD TVs, projection TVs, front projectors, home cinemas and the BRAVIA range of home theatre.
