Weight Loss Targets
When taking Orlistat, you should aim to lose 5% of your starting weight.
So if your weight at the start was 110kg, your target loss would be 5.5kg.
This means your target weight would be 104.5kg.
Each time you re-order Orlistat you will need to supply your current weight. This is so that the effectiveness of the drug can be checked. If you have not lost the 5% then it is advised that you take a 6 month break before trying again. If your weight goes up while taking Orlistat you should stop taking it.
If your BMI falls below 30 (or 28 depending on your individual circumstances) you will not be able to take Orlistat.
