Annabel Astor originally came up with the idea for OKA in 1999, after struggling to decorate her holiday home in Florida. Having run a successful jewellery business, Annabel embarked on a luxury interiors journey with her sister-in-law Sue Jones, and friend Lucinda Waterhouse. Sue had already enjoyed a career in fashion design with Jasper Conran whilst Lucinda had created and sold unique arrangements of beautiful faux flowers. Each of them has a different style, skillset and experience, but this combination is integral to creating the signature OKA look

Sue is innately stylish with an incredible eye for design and a gift for putting together schemes with a creative twist. Sue Jones
In her spare time, she has turned her hand to events (including family weddings), transforming simple spaces into something spectacular using OKA accessories and mountains of faux flowers.

Lucinda works closely with Annabel and Sue on the design and sourcing of the entire OKA range and it is her critical horticultural eye that ensures the realism of the faux flower collection, one of OKA’s most popular ranges. She also oversees the design and continual evolution of the OKA stores.
“We are always thinking about what people need, what would make their lives and homes better.”
