When I booked my holiday to Malta through Lastminute.com I wasn’t given a choice as to which transfer company would get me to my hotel, and so it was that Holiday Taxis won my custom, by default.
As it turns out, they were very much up to the job. I elected for a shared coach shuttle transfer at just over £32 return, there are a number of options, the most expensive being a private luxury car, but at the cost of almost £154, I would rather save my money for the more important things available on holiday (Ice cream)
The coach was clean, if somewhat old, and it is fair to say it rattled a fair bit on some of Malta’s more ramshackle side streets. But the driver knew where he was going, and the trip from Airport to hotel took a reasonable 30 minutes.
My return pickup had to be arranged with a phone call 48 hours before I was due to leave.
This again ran smoothly, with the English-speaking operative Instructing me of my pick-up time and location, which was a 2-minute walk from my hotel.
