Yes you read it correctly, don't shoot the messenger as I didn't write the email. Krispy Kreme always require codes to be entered via their app unless stated otherwise as this was clearly sent via email to their loyalty card rewards users, who can use the app thanks to them signing up. I was unable to include the barcode in the original post as a form of redemption for my own personal security and also that it wasn't useful to others.
