The pasta is fresh and some of the sauces are really fantastic.
3 stars from me for a few reasons, given the price the portion sizes are a bit on the small side. It would be nice to have a bit extra.
I would have liked at this price to have seen options, but all the pasta is still wheat based, if they had an edge like they were made from a type of flour we don't see in supermarket fridges, I think it would hold more appeal. I've seen a woman online who makes pasta that's made with vegetables like beetroot and carrot as a dye and that's a unique niche I'd be happy to pay more for this, not so much. I couldn't even find a gluten free option.
It's very expensive in comparison with picking up some fresh pasta and sauce from the fridge section in M&S and I have to be honest, the sauces and pesto are nothing I can't replicate in my food processor.
There's a lack of fresh ingredients. When I make sauces myself I like to see all the fresh garlic, basil, spinach, tomatoes and onions among others ingredients going into the sauce.
It feels healthier and a bit more substantial.
When they give you the 70% off introductory offers it's not so bad as a weekday emergency, for when you're absolutely exhausted from work and can't get creative in the kitchen. Past that I'd definitely pass.
