Other information

  • WH Smith is quite expensive for books, they seem to be at the higher end of price compared to other high street book shops. They do deals on children's books which makes it slightly cheaper and you can also get discounts from online discount codes. They do nice cards at Christmas and you can also get a pack for free usually using priority moments. Staff are ok in store and are friendly. The best thing now about the shop is that it now has the post office inside as well so it's really handy to have in town. Freebiesarefun
  • Ooh love a bit of stationery but who doesn't, WHSmith can be expensive for certain items but still love a mooch around the stationery and would be my first choice when i need such items. Love the freebies they do with O2 Priority and savings from voucher codes you can get online, especially towards Christmas when you can get cards, wrapping paper and chocolate coins. Staff are always pleasant and nice sarahtwinmom
  • WHSmith I rarely buy from, due to the higher prices, but when I do I like to get their meal deal. It is 3.99 which is higher than most competitors I visit but the quality of the food you get included is up to standard and there's larger items included and a wide variety of drinks and it all adds up, you're saving a lot of money buying the items in a meal deal than individually. I also enjoy buying books from here and they often have books that you can buy and get a discount from with a voucher code from one of the newspapers the store also stocks or here at Latest Deals, this changes regularly so make sure to always check for the latest ones. • I think WHSmith is quite an expensive store nowadays. They do have some good stuff but it's often nearly always cheaper online where you can even get free delivery from voucher codes you can find at Latest Deals. I hate to say it but WHSmith is the kind of shop that I go to, purely to find what I want, check the price then order it on the internet for cheaper. I think they do have some good deals around seasonal times. Particularly 'back to school' and Christmas but otherwise I think they're overpriced. I also find it impossible to find staff members if you need help and staff on tills are usually quite rude or blunt. I find the stationary is usually a decent quality though and this makes up 90% of my purchases here. Overall the products just don't rate the prices! Mashleigh
  • I am no longer a fan of WH Smith. I think they have become really expensive over the years. It used to be a store I shopped in regularly especially for my sons school supplies over the years and they used to have great offers especially at Christmas time but their prices are not competitive at all compared to other stores, although you can still get decent savings from online discount codes you can find. My local store is also quite badly laid out and quite disorganised and the staff never seem very happy or friendly so very rare I shop there now. SRFMLY
  • The only time I use WHSmith is to order Manga online as they have much better prices than in store. Their online prices are often a good few pounds cheaper than the leading bookstores & often a few pence cheaper still than buying off eBay or Amazon. They sometimes have promotions online but these are not to a set pattern. You can also get bargain deals from online voucher codes. I love how quickly they dispatch pre-ordered books. I have only once had a mistake with my order and even though it took a lot of back & forth they did resolve the matter & I was happy with their communications. WHSmith for anything else seems very overpriced, they have a big price tag on their stationary etc but without the quirkiness of designs that other shops offer. SandyRhodes
