Tip 8: My Morrisons Scheme

Tip number 7: Make sure you’re part of the My Morrisons reward scheme. For this, you’ll need to download the My Morrisons app and sign up. This will get you personalised money-off offers, tailored to your shopping habits - so you can save on the things you actually want! They also offer other perks, like basket bonus, where they give you the chance to win £5 of you next shop. It’s important to remember that My Morrisons is similar to the Boots Advantage Card offers - you need to activate them in the app before paying for your shop - so make sure you check before doing the shopping.

Tip 7: Compare Prices

Tip number 8 is to always compare prices. With all the price increases happening at the moment, you can end up paying a lot more for you weekly essentials if you don’t do your research. Using the free Latest Deals supermarket price comparison tool is an easy way of checking you’re not paying more than you should be, and can end up saving you a lot of money! If you don’t have time to shop at multiple supermarkets to find the best prices, or Morrisons is your nearest go-to, don’t worry - the next 7 tips are all focused on saving at Morrisons itself.

Deal hunters keep watching to see how you can save up to £167 on your shopping a year!

Tip 6: Buy Wonky Veg

At tip number 6, it’s all about the wonky veg! If you’re not fussed about having the perfect potato, Morrisons do a range of cheap veg that’s discounted because it’s wonky! The veg is exactly the same product, it’s just a bit misshapen, so if you’re like me and this doesn’t bother you, it’s a great way to save your money. And, not only are you saving your money, you’re also buying food that otherwise would have gone to waste, so it’s a win win!

Tip 5: Save £167 with Morrisons Delivery Pass

Tip number 5, save with a Morrisons Delivery Pass! If you do your weekly food shop online, did you know that you could be saving up to £167 a year with a Morrisons delivery pass? A delivery slot at Morrisons costs £4, which works out at £208 a year if you get a delivery once a week. However, Morrisons offer delivery passes from just £35 per year, so it’s much better value to buy one if you do your online shopping there regularly. They have different options and you don’t need to commit for a whole year, so it’s definitely worth checking out to see if it works for you.

Tip 4: Join Baby Club

Tip number 4: join the Morrisons Baby Club! If you’re signed up to My Morrisons you can join their different clubs for even more discounts. If you’re a mum, join the Baby Club and you’ll get exclusive special offers and freebies. Another tip, if you’re expecting, don’t join straight away - wait and see if Morrisons offer any sign up deals as an incentive before you need to start your baby shopping. They have other clubs as well, like the NHS Club and Teachers Club, so it’s worth checking out the Clubs section in the My Morrisons app to see how many you can join.

Okay deal hunters, you made it to my top tip for shopping at Morrisons… drum roll please!

Tip 1: Shop late in the day

Tip number 1 is to shop late in the day. It goes without saying that when you’re shopping on a budget, yellow sticker items are the holy grail. In case you don’t know, yellow sticker items are products that are usually nearing the end of their best before date, so they slash the price of them up to 75% off! Eat the products quickly or stock up the freezer with them - either way, you can make a great saving. At Morrisons these discounts usually happen twice a day, at around 5pm and then later at around 7 or 8pm. This means that the later you shop, the more likely you are to find these yellow sticker bargains - they go quickly, so you have to be on it if you want to take advantage.

Tip number 9… shop elsewhere because it’s one of the most expensive supermarkets. They have some deals on branded products but their own brand products are much more expensive than the likes of Asda & Tesco. Not as expensive as Iceland though which has good prices on frozen products but normal groceries are extortionate!
