I'm afraid I've given up with these . Tried them a few times but never managed to get the yield intimated in the adverts . End up with a couple of kilos of spuds worth far less than the compost you have grown them in .

Far better get a large plastic hanging basket (preferably 16") put in 3 plants of cherry or vine tomatoes (gardeners delight , tumbler , sweet aperitif for example ) then just water, feed and pick your own tomatoes all summer from end of June till late September . No staking ,no pinching out the sideshoots .
