Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky is still handcrafted the way our founders, Margie and Bill Samuels, Sr., intended when they invented it in 1953. Each label is hand-cut, every barrel is hand-rotated, and each bottle is hand-dipped in our signature red wax. Each part of the process – from bottling Maker’s at 90 proof to making it with red winter wheat – is carefully considered to produce a smoother-tasting whisky.
