You could be one of three lucky winners to receive a capsule make-up collection – including a Miracle Powder that truly lives up to its promise – from a truly exciting new name
During our long careers, we’ve been privileged to meet many beauty founders at the start of their journeys. Bobbi Brown. (Jo was the first UK journalist to interview her – for YOU Magazine.) Sylvie Chantecaille. Laura Mercier. Stila founder Jeanine Lobell. The list goes on, and we reckon we’re pretty good at beauty talent-spotting, which is why we’ve been so thrilled to discover SWEED – our latest tip for the absolute top.
We recently showcased this skincare-infused make-up range as a Fab Find of the Week on this site (read that here), and we’re honestly wowed by these incredibly high-performing products. We’re also wowed by SWEED’s lovely founder, Gabriella Elio, who started in the industry as a make-up artist, and has created her brand based on that insider knowledge of what customers really want.
In other words: amazing formulas that are easy to apply, really make a difference – and, we can tell you, rapidly become cornerstones of your daily make-up ritual. (They are also ‘clean’ – in other words, avoiding chemical nasties. And of course, cruelty-free.) This is real beauty, for real women – and we love that SWEED never touches up the photos of its models, BTW.
We’re completely thrilled, then, to be able to introduce you to SWEED’s range, offering three readers the chance to win heroes from the line-up, below. They’re all products we chose for our original Fab Find of the Week – so again, read more in-depth reviews, here.
SWEED Miracle Powder (normally £38) – honestly, this IS a miracle, created from mineral powders to magically blur lines and imperfections, somehow making a face look seamless. Wear it as a finishing powder, or on its own. Five shades, very adaptable across a wide range of skintones.
SWEED Le Lipstick (£22) – this swivel-up stick feels like a lip balm, gliding on to deliver sheer colour (9 shades available), with the softest, most plumpifying and comforting, lip-nurturing texture.
SWEED Lip Liner (£19) – use this to outline lips or draw all over them for a long-lasting lip look. (You can layer Le Lipstick beautifully over this.) Nine shades, matched to the lipsticks – though we always prefer a neutral, ourselves (Cindy is a great nude).
SWEED Air Blush Cream (£28) – blending beautifully into skin, even with fingertips, this has a great colour pay-off and stays put in a way few cream blushers do, in a choice of four shades.
SWEED Cloud Mascara (£24) – there are actually TWO fabulous mascaras in SWEED’s portfolio, but this really is the icon: dense, black, lifting, volumising, with a flake-proof, smudge-proof formula. So impressive! (And we are SO fussy.)
We encourage you to check out SWEED at gloriousbeauty.co.uk/ – here – as they stock the whole collection, including the cult, non-hormone Eyelash Serum – and definitely to follow @sweedbeauty on Instagram, here. (And perhaps Gabriella’s own – @gabriellaelio – where you can follow her fascinating founder’s journey.
Trust us: a star is born…
