During our long careers, we’ve been privileged to meet many beauty founders at the start of their journeys. Bobbi Brown. (Jo was the first UK journalist to interview her – for YOU Magazine.) Sylvie Chantecaille. Laura Mercier. Stila founder Jeanine Lobell. The list goes on, and we reckon we’re pretty good at beauty talent-spotting, which is why we’ve been so thrilled to discover SWEED – our latest tip for the absolute top.

We recently showcased this skincare-infused make-up range as a Fab Find of the Week on this site (read that here), and we’re honestly wowed by these incredibly high-performing products. We’re also wowed by SWEED’s lovely founder, Gabriella Elio, who started in the industry as a make-up artist, and has created her brand based on that insider knowledge of what customers really want.

SWEED Miracle Powder (normally £38) – honestly, this IS a miracle, created from mineral powders to magically blur lines and imperfections, somehow making a face look seamless. Wear it as a finishing powder, or on its own. Five shades, very adaptable across a wide range of skintones.

SWEED Le Lipstick (£22) – this swivel-up stick feels like a lip balm, gliding on to deliver sheer colour (9 shades available), with the softest, most plumpifying and comforting, lip-nurturing texture.
