The offers are very much needed at CCL. Been around for years and always been good quality and service, but at a rather premium price.
Sadly they recently changed the free postage from £50 purchase to £150 purchase so I believe there will be £4.99 postage on top of these prices which really should be stated. So the prices were a bit cheaper a week or so back due to the free postage. Also cashback is available through topcashback and maybe quidco although not sure it will pay out with a 15% off discount code.

If you are referring to one of the cheap Geo laptops, they are perfectly capable little laptops but ideally need a lower resource version of Windows like Windows 10 LTSC to really make them competitive in performance and allow the 4GB memory to stretch a bit more. They are only dual core CPU's but the graphics are no worse than the 4 core Celeron's and as many games rely more on graphic resources than CPU resources they perform at a similar speed for some games. I really don't think the Celeron N4020 is too bad for general use, browsing, light games, movies, music and light programming. It is not suitable for the latest games or heavy processing applications like video editing.
BonzoBanana you seem to know your stuff, do you think the Geo would be good for as a working from home laptop?
NatMarley What sort of working from home? The apps you are using are they very demanding on memory and cpu power? This would be perfectly fine for me working from home as I would remove a lot of operating system bloat and set it up for maximum performance. You can use guides on youtube to debloat operating systems and maximise performance. It's not difficult although a little time consuming. If you use it as supplied you may be happy with it or you may feel it is too slow.

This is for a HP laptop that I use that is fairly similar except has the quad core version of the same processor;

This is a laptop/tablet that has the same identical CPU as the GEO laptops being sold on CCL however it has SSD storage instead of eMMC.

It scores higher overall because of the SSD despite only being dual core.
So we are looking at around 400 passmark score.
Both computers have extremely long battery life and are extremely low power consumption so you can have them on all day and run them for pence. They are incredibly portable and easy to take anywhere really.
I'm sure to many those passmark scores are very low but 5 years ago they would have been mid-range laptop scores and 10 years ago perhaps higher end laptop scores.
BonzoBanana thank you for taking the time to reply. I am not sure what kind of working from home job i would be doing yet, as I am still exploring my options, but working from home seems like a good career move to suit my current circumstances, so i know i am going to need a computer or laptop.

Bluemoon1960 Always worth considering updating your old laptop to a light operating system like Windows 10 LTSC and further debloating it. I don't think its unrealistic to say you can make an old laptop run 4-5x faster if configured correctly. Even as it stands, uninstall the software you don't use, change the settings for performance and use debloating software to trim down your existing windows. It can transform an old laptop and not cost you a single penny.
I need a new laptop so I'll be checking to see what they have in stock! Good discount.

Looks like they have run out of the cheap Geobook 100 models now but still have the Geoflex 110 model which is basically the same model with a touchscreen. Still fantastic value.
