Nike Waffle Trainer 2

The Nike Waffle Trainer 2 celebrates the first American ascent of K2 in 1978 and the "approach" shoe that helped get climbers to and from the mountain. Throwback colouring and era-reflecting materials honour the original shoe. Expedition details include K2 graphic on tongue and sockliner, "NIK2" on heel and a second set of laces coiled like a rope. The large Swoosh on the side as well as exposed foam tongue create a retro aesthetic that refers back to the original Nike "LDV" shoe. The plush foam midsole with extra-soft foam wedge is so comfy it should be banned while the waffle sole offers traction and support.
