The 500Wh battery is hidden away in the frame and provides plenty of range for a big day out or a weeks worth of shorter commutes. The battery can quickly and easily be removed for charging or charged while on the bike too.
Pretty low end Suntour fork on this but I guess most of the money is in the motor and battery. Not a fan of mid-drive for day to day cycling. More complicated motor and much higher rates of drivetrain wear but it really depends on how often you use the ebike I guess. Remember this is proprietary so repairs and replacement parts can be expensive and once the electrical components are worn out and not economically viable to repair the bike is unusable as the frame is dedicated to the Yamaha motor.
