200 Homeless People Queuing for Food in the Snow

In the News

As you may know, I try to find and share good news stories, but I was so shocked when I saw this, it's 2021 in the UK Image

This is shocking to have 200 homeless people waiting in the cold for some food. I really feel for those who had to wait out in this

Me too, it just brings home how many home comforts we take to granted. Just having a roof over your head. This a national disgrace, which unfortunately only gets publicity when it's cold or at Christmas time. Prior to lockdown I used to pass lot of homeless people on the way to work.

beccatavender I bet this isn't a bit of them though, they'll be a lot more that don't even know about it. It's a shame to the one's in power that this is even happening. No matter their lifestyles or circumstances they are still human and deserve our help and compassion, a roof over their head and food is a basic need.

The homeless are getting a really bad deal at the moment as those who try and help them can be arrested https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9206947/Cancer-sufferer-arrested-serving-soup-disadvantaged-members-community.html

The thing that stood out to me was - how do homeless people get hold of masks? They haven't any money, and, being too close together - they probably congregate 'too close together' on a daily basis.

21st Century indeed! We should be ashamed...and certainly shouldn't let the police get away with it.

I am utterly disgusted in the UK we have homelessness in this country . To suffer the torture of having to wait in utterly terrible weather . I totally think this is worse than the picture in the 70's of the poster of 3 million on the dole . This is real life and there are certain people who should be holding there heads in shame.
