A-Level and GCSE Exams Cancelled next Summer in Wales

A-level and GCSE exams cancelled next summer in Wales

Announced today by the Welsh education minister , wonder if England and Scotland will follow.

GCSEs, A level and AS exams next year will be replaced by classroom assessments which will take place at the end of the spring term.

Personally I think it's probably the best option given the disruption to schools this year.

Seems quite strange with a prospect of a vaccine on the horizon

yes however it has not been confirmed successful, and if yes will take over 1 year to get everyone in the uk vaccinated so schools will still close if a positive case in a bubble definitely until april

This seems really premature to me.Hopefully things will be getting back to normal long before then.

My daughter had her GCSE cancelled in summer it must be hard for these ones they will have to study for exams they will never sit. I just hope everything is back to normal when she does A- level exams there is the AS level ones first too. We in England so rules may be different
