Advice Please on a Steam Shower
Ask a Question
The OH would like a steam shower, does anyone have one, if so make etc and are they any good or a waste of money or could you get the same result having a hot shower in a normal shower cubicle?
Had to Google what a steam shower was.
Cor Blimey, they're quite expensive, and that's without installation.
And it looks like that it would fill my entire bathroom!
Yep, expensive and we'd have to go with the smallest. Landlord has offered to do plumbing/electrics/joinery work but still expensive which is why I thought hot shower in normal shower cubicle.
In my old house, we installed one & it was great, I loved it. The only thing I would say is that when it went wrong which it did after about 3 years, it was difficult to find a plumber was willing to even look at it
Thanks, shower 'life' is not something that he'd thought of and I'd hope it would last longer than three years for what they cost.
We lived in a hard water area and I didn't purchase a water softener, I wish I had as it was the limescale that caused the issues lilyflower
beccatavender Agh the dreaded limescale, our water is not that hard, but still a lot better than where I used to live.
In that case pay for a water softener, it was recommended but as I had overspend on the whole bathroom I didnt do it @lilyflower
