Do You Agree Disposable Vapes Should Be Banned , and some Flavours Restricted ?

Ask a Question

Disposable vapes banned and flavours restricted in change to e-cigarette rules www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/disposable-vapes-banned-flavours-restricted-31986460

With youngsters as young as 9-10 years old now using these vapes, do you agree with the restriction on some flavours and the banning of disposable ones ?

Leannexxx That's correct. What or who should be banned is what or who sells the vapes to under 21y old. And yes, people should be able to re-use them and do their share to recycle too. 😁 Thanks

Disposable ones should be banned for the terrible environmental impact they have. The number of them thrown away exceeds 5 million a WEEK! 😱

Absolutely. The true effects are not yet known. Ultimately could be as bad as smoking.

Ban all disposable vapes and only allow the selling of the more expensive one where like me I buy the oils and coils at around £70 for a good one it will restrict the kids massively

I think disposable vapes should be banned in total as they have lithium batteries and are not recycled correctly

I think they should ALL be banned. They're all made of plastic after all.

I see zero benefit to vaping whatsoever. This alternative to smoking nonsense they come out with... People are vaping far more than they ever smoked.

I'm sick of people vaping in places they shouldn't be, suffocating the public with their headache inducing clouds of what?

DV's should be banned. The planet does not have an infinite supply of the very precious metals used to make the batteries. e Juice should be sold in plain packaging like cigs and not on open display. I'm a vaper with a reusable vape

I would like the lot to be banned. I’m totally anti smoking in all forms. I am not anti people who smoke though, there’s a difference. I actually like quite a lot of people who do. I just can’t take the inhaling everywhere myself. If they can do it yes. I thought it was meant to wean people off tobacco and nicotine. Children shouldn’t be getting them but if their parents do how are they going to stop them as kids copy parents and if parents let them it’s not going to stop. They should make it much harder to get hold of and less attractive colours and flavours- maybe just 2-3 types.

Again dictators of our goverment cannot see the woods for the smoke

Needs to make its mind up, stop smokers or vapers?

It's the retailers fault not ensuring underage vapers and smokers are not able to buy.

If they allow underage children to purchase , close them down and fine them heavily.

i thought that you could get nicotine free vapes - if so then maybe ok but if the concern is over nicotine then yes they should be banned. nobody knows the long term effects on lung health or any other aspect of health.

These are aimed at children I'm sure of it, you very rarely see an adult with one. They banned flavoured cigarettes for this reason and all the flavours you can get are even more appealing to kids. We have tried everything to get our 16 yr old to quit but with pocket money prices and high levels of nicotine it's impossible 😭

I think that they should definitely be banned!!!

Totally ban the vapes to the children, they need education regarding it.What age should vapes be used?

Children are taught sex education in school so why not about these vapes? Anything that is harm for yourself or your health should be given proper education.

Language123 It's a peer pressure thing with vapes with the kids, just like it was in the 70s with smoking cigarettes.

You would not believe how many youngsters come into MrsChimp's shop to try and buy vapes, but if they haven't got ID, they're not getting.

I don't agree with the argument that youngsters will start buying cigarettes if they can't vape, cigs are too expensive. And don't I know it.

My cousin and bf come and visit every so often and stink the house out with vapes. It catches my throat for some reason even though I'm ok with a Benson.

TheChimp yes! That is the reason kids need proper education on vapes and cigarettes, these are harmful stuff for lungs.

Idea for your house as you mentioned it stink with vapes. Open the window and use fragrance Incense stick and your throat will be fine.

Language123 Throat won't be that much better when I'm smoking 20+ a day.

Can't do intense sticks or candles either. It looks like I've just got stupid a windpipe and lungs.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want anyone to start smoking because it's not great, bad for your health, addictive and expensive, but vapes are not the answer for children.

I am old and stupid enough to carry on smoking, and I can afford it, so it's my choice. I tried vaping right at the beginning of it all, but all I did was cough, more than I did from the f*gs.

Language123 in my area the kids are educated, or they definitely are in one comprehensive. In the pastoral sessions. Educating the children. I think they should be band personality, but all the colours and flavours are appealing to children.

Yeah why not, let’s ban something else and live in a nanny state!

It’s not vaping that’s the problem it’s the access to them that needs control.

I notice people harping on about the batteries in them, but they are fine with the batteries in electric vehicles!?? 🙄

I think they should be banned however I have to say that people using them seem to chill out and still have their faculties about them. People drinking alcohol or taking drugs can go nuts and have violent episodes or operate vehicles with reduced capacity to drive. They are all carcinogenic. I feel like if people vaped instead of drank or took drunks I could imagine it improving many things. However I still don't like them and unsure about the long term effects on health.

Yes... They are not respected by some shop keepers, sold to miners and possing health issues to the country's children. We have neither the store detectives or enough trading standers offices to focus on this problem and we don't have enough of a police force on the streets to assist. Intact I'd go as far as to say our whole law system is a joke.
