Brand isn't that important but get the biggest one that you can afford. The ninja duals are good but you need to get the biggest one they do for 4 people.

Thanks for asking this question. I’ve been umming and ahhhing for couple of months whether to buy an air fryer…. Now I’ve decided to bite the bullet and get one but I don’t know which is the best buy 🤦🏼‍♀️

reannsgran if you see one at a good price and suitable for you (in terms of size), it's well worth buying.

I was skeptical at first, but it won me over and prefer using it than frying or using the oven.

PhilipMarc thanks for info. I never fry anything always use the oven or grill but so many people have said about how much cheaper it is to air fry.

I got a Tefal one in the summer for a good price, about half what they are asking now. Tefal shop site often have a reduction for signing up to a news letter, I think it is 25 percent at the moment but it varies. You would want the largest capacity you can find for four people.

Definitely get the largest you can afford , ones less than 4 litres are a waste of time as they are too small for anything but a chip butty .

You can shake chips up , but they are most useful and money saving as in effect a mini fan oven , if you want to do steaks , pies , veg etc in one you need something 5.5litres + . Think more in terms of surface area than volume . I originally bought a 4.5 litre Tower and have since bought a 5.5litre Breville . As soon as you get one you realise the possibilities (and that they use far less electricity than an oven) and want a bigger one .

Think of a saucepan the bigger it is the larger the useable surface area is for such as steaks and burgers which don't cook very well when stacked on top of one another !

I bought a Uten 6.5L fryer just before lockdown and absolutely love it! It's almost made my oven redundant. I still use a microwave and an induction hob but the air fryer has made such a difference to my power usage. Go for a big as you can or you will regret it.

sunny101 Why do people still mention the lockdown, though?

Some make it to be like it was something good and enjoyable.

PhilipMarc I guess it was a time of making the best of things and discovering new foods to try. I used mine a lot! My point was that I've had the fryer for three years and it hasn't yet qualified for back-of-the-cupboard relegation....... Clearer? 🤣 Edit - no I hated that period so something to focus on made it bearable.

We have a ninja which I absolutely love, at first I was against getting one I didn't think we would use it. But to be honest we use it all the time and it's one of the best kitchen appliances we have bought

I have a 4.3 litre Tower and have had it for about a year, it's for just 2 of us and been great experimenting with different foods but now looking at getting a bigger air fryer, definitely need a bigger one and also want 2 baskets.

I bought a Tower air fryer from argos last year, if I remember rightly it was reduced down to £30 but it does us (2 adults & 3 kids) we don't have mega portions but nor do we have tiny portions. We cook all sorts in ours. I'd not be without one now
