Air Fryers -Random Things You Cook in Them?

Ask a Question

I love slow roasting tomatoes for pasta sauces and pizza toppings, but it requires the oven to be on for ages using up lots of electricity, trying to be mindful about reducing my electricity usage and so I thought I would give it a go in the air fryer. Cherry or Baby Plums pierced, thrown in a small bowl with garlic cloves, red pepper, salt and pepper, 15 mins in the air fryer and they taste like they have been slow roasted, delicious! Hit me with some other things you have discovered work really well in one please …

Sautee potato wedges made with various herbs and spices from our kitchen. A cross between chunky chips and roasted potatoes.

I absolutely love my air fryer, I got a cheap one last year to try out and after having one I’ve hardly ever put my oven on honestly the best kitchen gadget I’ve owned although I’m thinking of upgrading to a ninja goodie max 🙂 ahh can’t wait.

I cook nearly everything in my, tried steak a few days ago and yum! It was delicious!

I’ve got some frozen croissants and tried that and that was really nice took less than 15mins. I’ve roasted chestnuts in them and they turned out really good, pealed so easy all I did was soak them in water for about half an hour before putting them in the airfryer.

nagihan68 yes me too, I got mine from Aldi and I absolutely love it, it was only £30 but it’s been a game changer! Chestnuts are such a good idea as I usually manage to explode in the oven, did you have to prick them first?

I do roasted peppers and they come out incredibly sweet with a nice little char - cut into big chunks, no oil, throw in on Roast setting at 160°C for about 20-30 mins.
