Anyone Still Have Their Favourite Childhood Cuddly Toys?
Other
Someone on here recently asked me if I still have the teddy bear I had as a child. The answer is yes. Although he's not really a teddy bear as such, but a cuddly pink elephant who's name is Baby. In the past couple of years I have collected some teddy bears from charity shops, one which I have named Matilda and the other one I have named Ruby.
My mum recently gave mine away (with my permission) to a friends grandchildren who had absolutely nothing. They were absolutely delighted with them and couldn't believe how good a condition they were in and sent photos to say thank you. I have cuddly toys that my husband has bought me, but my childhood ones have all gone to children who didn't have much.
RegularComper90 They had been sitting in a box in my mums loft since I moved out ten years ago. It was about time someone gave them some love.
I don't have any cuddly teddy from my childhood or anything really apart from a pillow cover with my name on it that my mum made for me when I went to a nursery
That is sweet. Homemade is always best as it is far more personal. x
I still have a jumper that my mother knitted for me when I was a child. It obviously doesn't fit me anymore, but it is something that I will keep hold of for the rest of my life. x
RegularComper90 how lovely! This actually made me think that I should make something special for my children and I hope they will feel this same way as we do now
I still have most of my childhood stuff but some I remember stupidly pawning so don't have that (it was three gaming consoles - SEGA Mega Drive, Nintendo NES, Nintendo SNES).
Here's bits and pieces I still have from back then.
Found the Game Boy promo thingy in my grandparents farm. I remember how it was once in pristine condition and the Game Boy letters were in blue.
Stumbled across a guitar I had as a kid, and it was quite dusty so cleaned it up without damaging the paper stickers on it.
It even had the batteries back from the 90's, but took them out and to the bin they went.
^ The mic had a thin black cable but it was ripped out, think I did that sometime around my childhood or as a pre-teen.
