Baking Your Own Biscuits
Ask a Question
Does anyone bake their own biscuits instead of buying from supermarkets.
The advantages are you save more money, can use natural sugar, free from palm oil ect
I would love to bake my own but it’s to tempting just to buy them because it works out cheaper to buy a packet than buy all the stuff to make them
I believe the more biscuits you bake the cheaper it can get instead of buying packets. The branded biscuits can be expensive.
U can make healthy biscuits....but I just make some cookies sometimes, they taste nothing like shop ones and I know what goes into them.
Sugar levels and salt levels are high in supermarket biscuits when baking your own you can decide how much you use in the mixture.
due to my allergies, I did use to make biscuit quite often but this year I've been too busy. I hope to start up baking and cooking proper meals again next year. It's all been a bit too microwave chips and takeaway this year but due to lack of time it couldn't be helped. I like making choc chip cookies the best.
I've only done it a couple of times (having never baked before in my life) and they turned out really well.
I highly suggest anyone searching for the Millie's Cookies recipe - they're delicious and super easy to make.
I haven't got time to bake my own biscuits. Hopefully when my son is older we can make biscuits together. My mother in law makes her own biscuits. She makes the best empire biscuits and shortbread, her caramel squares are sublime.
I bake my own cakes rather than shop buy. I'm not so good at making biscuits, I seem to always mess up cookies no matter what recipe I use. My next challenge to try is some gingerbread men
I bake all the cakes we have, they taste better have no e numbers and have a better texture than shop bought ones
