Have You Had a Banksy in Your Area?
Ask a Question
The latest Banksy in Lowestoft has been vandalised after the artist confirmed it was genuine. Having a Banksy is a great draw for tourists and locals a like, the local council have already employed a restorer.
Thinking about it the last artwork I went to see was the Port Talbot's Banksy back in Dec 2018
No but I seriously doubt banksy has even heard of the little town I'm from.
I've never seen one either
I thought that about Taibach, it was in a small back street. Somewhere I had never been.
But can you image waking up to discover one painted on your garage! When it sold they had to dismantle it.
The top two pictures are from the same art work which was vandalised Lowestoft, Suffolk
The Seasons Greetings, is near the Port Talbot steel works in South Wales . But they have pop up all over the country Imnotcheap
Yes, but when they covered it with perspex sheeting to protect the artwork the paint started to badly crack and peel. In a relatively short space of time it looked in a terrible state. The building it was on has since been demolished to make way for expensive flats. I don't know if they saved the work. It may have been too badly damaged for restoration. It would simply end up being more of a copy than the real thing.
I was going to say no but I did a quick check on Google to be sure and turns out Banksy has done a piece of artwork here in the jewellery quarter area of Birmingham.. I had no idea and I have even worked in the area.
I wonder who Banksy is
Heres a little info, the photo is unconfirmed
But if you look closely you can see paint on his middle finger
