Hi guys, im looking to move soon into an unfurnished house. Looking for beds, wardrobes and draws deals etc....
any ideas?
Do a search for Charity Furniture Stores in your area - you can often really good stuff at incredibly low prices.
For discounted new beds I recommend www.mattressonline.co.uk and Argos.co.uk.
Definitely go down the charity furniture route first but don't forget to look in Ikea, if you have one, because they stock a tremendous amount of goods that are really cheap and very good quality. (Even signing up for their loyalty cards gets you some discounts and cheap food in their restaurants. )
Find out if you have a JYSK near you. I found a great set of drawers at one much cheaper than elsewhere, and solidly built too. Saw some nice wardrobes there too. It's similar to IKEA.
I would enjoy the lack of stuff for a while and try to get a few things from Freecycle or local facebook freebie listings. If you are looking for a less random decor then even though some people moan about them I find Ikea can do the job quite well at reasonable prices.
