Shocking, absolutely shocking. Even if the man has a prosthetic leg he might not be able to walk. Not all disabled people can compete in the Olympics.

I know you hear about people taking advantage of these badges. It's normally people who have disabled relative , but use the badge even if they are not in the car with them.

But you wouldn't think the problem was so bad, that they automatically turn people down with a genuine disability, so they have to appeal and use up doctors time having to write letters.

I like how sassy the doctor was at the end of the letter. I imagine he's had his time wasted like this before, having to provide letters for people in situations like this, as this kind of thing seems to happen a lot.

Doesn't surprise me at all, ive seen and heard about just as bad things before. Benefit system making people go back every two years to re reassess people with no arms or legs or life long chronic illnesses. I had a family member who was refused a blue badge as her terminal cancer wasn't life changing !

My friend has a false leg and often he is challenged when he parks in a disabled place, last week he took his leg off and waved it in the face of someone who he heard saying "He doesn't look disabled" !

As we all know we cannot regrow body parts and it is disgusting that they badger doctors to try and get out of paying towards care for someone with a disability notwithstanding the fact that not all disabilities are noticeable at first, or even second, glance and many are invisible.

It is shocking when they refuse people who have a genuine disability especially when you have to pay for the blue badges, then if you have to add more information it costs you for the doctor to do that as well and it’s just wasting the doctors time

This is shocking. I did have a giggle when the individual talked about medical science allowing us to regrow limbs though.

With all due respect where blue badges are concerned that if a person can be found fit for work and then within weeks be dead from there illness or injuries then this really isn't that much of a suprise .Glad the lad managed to get his blue badge and hope it is really useful for him .
