could i just take it back and say i need to change for a better one and more expensive one but ive used it or not ?

If you have the receipt then I'm sure you can return anything in 28days if it's not fit for purpose. I take back anything that isn't up to scratch 😂

It depends on the retailer, as they have different policies. If it’s not fit for purpose or faulty, they are obliged to replace it or refund you, amd you can quote the consumer rights act. If the reasons of return isn’t for those reasons, the retailers can be funny about it - some will try to make you happy to keep your custom, but many will just say ’tough luck’. The fact you intend to upgrade to something more expensive should help your case

I had this issue with my phone. They also dropped the price a week after I bought it. They told me nothing I could do if it was not faulty.
