Bounty Chocolate Banned from Celebration Tubs

In the News

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree that they should be removed? Not one of my favourites.

I am quite a rarity as I love the Bounty chocolates. I see so much hate for these and I don't understand why. 😋

RegularComper90 My mum enjoys them and I will eat them but definitely not my favourite, you must love going round collecting all the unwanted bounties!

They are not my favourite but my mum loves them so she won't be happy. I wonder what they replace them with.

I love the bounty sweets. Most of my family eat all the rest and save the bounty’s for me !! Have to admit I’m slightly annoyed that they are stopping them 🥴

I don’t like Bounty’s but I pass them on to my Dad so no waste.

I think what the makers of celebrations haven’t really grasped, is yes there are probably more people that don’t like bounty’s than do as coconut very unique favour but due the fact they always puts lots of these as well as milky ways into the tubs and cartons and are really tight on Malteasers and Twix and Galaxy numbers as I also empty the box and lay them out and there’s never been a fair ratio

I think people saying banning bounty’s is in response to that

I love Bountys so I am very disappointed that they are taking them out of the box of celebrations. They will have to add more of the other sweets into the tub now.

This came as a shock, as I do like them. Although, on further research it looks like only some Tesco customers will be able to buy "No Bounty" tubs -

A 'limited run of "No Bounty" tubs will go on sale at 40 Tesco stores in the run-up to Christmas.'

This move appears to be more about creating a clever marketing gimmick, as it's getting a lot of press and social media attention - www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63497187

A survey mentioned in the article link, 'which consulted 2,000 people aged between 18 and 65, suggested that 18% would feel irritated to find only Bounty bars were left in a tub, while 58% believed it would lead to a family argument.'

I would like an 'Only Bounty' tub!

I dislike coconut so I welcome this, as I these are the only ones that are left & we normally throw them away😀

I am one of the rare coconut lovers, anything flavoured coconut is tasty in my opinion

Besides making coconut obsolete would mean no more pina colada

I like the bounties, I choose them just as much as the others. Even though the little coconut bits get stuck in my teeth sometimes 😆

Bounty shouldn't be removed because a minority of people dislike them. I eat one of each whether I like them or not.

I don't mind the odd one but it's certainly not my favourite, we usually pass chocolates onto family members that we won't eat rather than wasting them.

I love every flavour chocolate in Celebrations, the same can't be said for Quality Street or Roses but i also like all the Cadbury's Heroes chocolates. Celebrations is by far my favourite. I never realised Bounty's were controversial in having a marmite type effect on people. I'm trying to think of chocolates I don't like there is Frys Chocolate Cream, Cadburys eggs (too sickly) and those bland plasticky european plain chocolates.

I do love a Cadburys creme egg and I haven’t had Frys chocolate cream for year which I also like. Not sure what the plain chocolate ones you are talking about but I am not a fan of plain/ dark chocolate.
