Didn't realise there was such a thing as 'too much'. 😂 🍞

I suppose it all depends on the individual. Though to be fair, I suppose half a loaf is indeed a bit much in one sitting.

Imnotcheap I personally wouldn't like to have that much bread in one day. But each to their own I guess. 👍

I suppose it depends on how thick the butter and cheese is, 😂

Well as a diabetic I am only allowed about two slices a day because carbs turn to sugar (put simply) in your body. So, working on that general idea and with no medical knowledge I would assume that too much bread (or any carbs) could contribute, just like sugar, to the development of diabetes once your body has had enough of trying to cope with the surfeit.

In my opinion we do not do enough prevention with sound knowledge but just keep trying to cure people once they have these diseases. I imagine that half a loaf of bread as a one off which is rare is probably ok.

I don't eat bread on a daily basis like some people do, but I can eat a half of a bloomer with a big bowl of homemade soup.

Imnotcheap It might be worth trying to get some reduced mushrooms at the supermarket, I have seen them reduced quite often at Asda, so that way you've got less output if it doesn't work out for you.

pato I already buy them and dehydrate them if I see them reduced. I love mushrooms. My family say I'm a mushroomaholic 🤣

Imnotcheap I've never tried to dehydrate them before, I might have to give that a try.

We have had the same conversation - one person frequently eats 4 slices for lunch, 4 slices for dinner and 5 slices in snacks every single day.

For me, 4 slices a day is the most I’d ever have - if I can get any before they’ve eaten it all!

Imnotcheap That honestly doesn’t surprise me! I love bread but could never eat anywhere near those amounts.

I ate so much bread and cereal until I developed coeliacs disease. I have found gluten free cake a good replacement.

Have one available to eat, freeze any spare so it doesn't become rotten.

We have a freezer and I bought plenty of meat when it was on discount so we won't have a meat or bread shortage.
